難しいな

Pardon my crappy translation: A female SHF base body is being developed in secret, and there are numerous failed attempts. It’s difficult.

This marks the beginning of a triple threat match between Max Factory’s Figma, Kaiyodo’s Fraulein Revoltech and Bandai’s SH Figuarts. Figma may have anime-accurate sculpts, but it loses out to Fraulein Revoltech in articulation and the former is prone to terrible cases of joints snapping. Fraulein Revoltech has the upper hand in terms of price and some of its female figures have better shapes (ie. dangerous curves).

SH Figuarts would trump both brands in terms of articulation, assuming the female base body can achieve the same range as the current line of male-shaped figures. However, a greater concern would be the sculpt as well as which characters have been licensed. Surely we won’t want a third Haruhi line that looks somewhat the same as the other two lines yet different.

Perhaps some female tokusatsu characters are in the works? I can’t think of any besides the staple female Sentai members and maybe Masked Rider Femme from Ryuki. Or maybe it’s just an SHF Rain Mikamura to accompany the manly SHF Domon Kasshu.

Tamiya 1/24 Subaru Impreza WRC ‘98 Monte Carlo Version. Completed, but disappointed. Not disappointed with the kit, but with my lack of skill.

There were so many mistakes I made on this kit I think ten fingers are not enough to count them.
